Telephone Consultations

The practice have a number of telephone consultations available which you can request if you feel you need to discuss your concerns / illness with a GP.  These consultations are limited in number and will be given on a first come, first serve basis.  Unfortunately, the practice is unable to confirm an exact time in relation to a telephone consultation but will be able to advise whether the doctor will phone you in the morning or the afternoon.  Please provide the receptionist with an up-to-date telephone number which the doctor can contact you on.

Chaperones

Are you nervous about being examined?

There are occasions when the doctor or nurse needs to give you a

full examination.

If you feel embarrassed about this we can arrange for someone to

be there with you.

Please ask for one of our trained chaperones.

If we can’t provide someone straight away you may need to return for the examination.

Trust is important in the relationship between GP and patient and we would, at all times, wish you to feel able to ask for a

Chaperone, should you require it.

Interpreters

If English is not your first language and you would like an interpreter to be present at your appointment, please inform the receptionist and they will make arrangements with the Fife community Interpreting Service.

Cancellations

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
